The endangered Gurney’s Pitta has been found in southern Myanmar near Linya National Park, in Ngawun Reserve Forest. Now it is about 150 or less than the present amount in the same place. This tour is designed for bird watchers who want to see Gurney’s Pitta (Pitta Gurneyi) eagerly. We do recommend it from May to June. Prearrangement is necessary to get special travel permit from our ministry. Not more than 6 persons will be the best. Accommodation will be very basic and meals should be in your packaged.

Day1 Arrive to Yangon

Arrive to Yangon, welcome by your Birding Guide and transfer to your Hotel. Prepare for your Trip.
Overnight at your Hotel in Yangon.

Day 2 Yangon – Myeik & Ngawan Forest (by car &flight)

Transfer to Airport to flight to Myeik and arrived to Myeik Town and transfer to the village.
Overnight at the Camp in the forest.

Day 3 Ngawun Reserve Forest

Early morning take a trip and birding around with our specialist and skillful bird guide . He help and show you the way where you can find the Gurney’s Pitta.
Overnight at the Camp there.

Day 4 /5 Ngawun Reserve Forest

Birding around the Forest and Overnight there.

Day 6 Ngawun Forest Camp to the Village near Myeik

Early morning prepare to return your trip to Myeik Via village. Birding along the way back to Myeik .
Overnight at the Hotel in Myeik .

Day 7 Myeik – Yangon

After breakfast at the Hotel , transfer to Airport for your flight to Yangon. If you have time , excursion around the City such as the Min Kyaung , City’s Antiques and Historical data, Thein Daw Gyi Pagoda& make shopping as the local product ”Edible Birds Nest”.

Day 8 Yangon Departure

Notes : You need to bring the things as much as you need for your Trip such as Binoculars, Telescope and necessary medicines and equipment. This itinerary is changeable according to the visitors’ request.
